Muscat: The Zubair Enterprises Development Centre (Zubair EDC) recently organised its monthly 'Tajribati' discussion at the Bait Al Zubair museum on sales skills for entrepreneurs.
The session was held in cooperation with Wejdan Development Company, in the presence of Hamad bin Sulaiman Al Habsi, CEO of the company.
The February Tajribati session discussed the challenges faced by sales employees in the labour market, the impact of psychological programming on sales, and the correct steps to achieve sales. The session was presented by Al Habsi, an entrepreneur and researcher to improve Omanis’ productivity in the market. As part of his research, he attended many training courses and conferences around the world in countries such as Morocco, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. During the session, entrepreneurs were able to ask questions and interact directly with Al Habsi, enabling a more engaging format.
Rawan bint Saif Al-Kiyumiyah, Business Analyst at the Zubair Enterprises Development Centre, also took part in the session. Her contribution highlighted the importance of the monthly ‘Tajribati’ sessions as one of many developmental initiatives created by the centre for owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The monthly sessions have been an opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn from industry experts on a wide range of issues, she explained, giving them first-hand experience and practical solutions. She reiterated the main objective of the centre which is to provide a space for entrepreneurs to have access to all the tools and methods they may need to successfully grow their businesses efficiently.
Al Habsi said, “I would like to thank The Zubair Corporation, represented by the Zubair EDC, for inviting me to their monthly Tajribati session where I was able to meet with young entrepreneurs and discuss various topics that contribute to the development and sustainability of their businesses. The session focused on the challenges facing sales employees in the labour market, which include competition from other companies and brands, changes in customer interests and needs, the difficulty of finding new customers and fluctuations in the economy and market. We also addressed the impact of psychological programming on sales, from customers’ interactions with advertisements and marketing offers to customers buying behaviour, enabling entrepreneurs to improve their overall sales process and achieve better results. Then, the impact of psychological programming on the sales process was discussed, which relates to understanding body language and analysing customer behaviour and interaction during sales presentations to improve the process and achieve better results."
"As part of the session, we also covered the right steps to achieve sales, which include studying the market and customers, identifying the competitive advantages of the product or service, improving the presentation of the product or service, learning techniques for effective communication with customers, knowing how to successfully manage the sales and closing process, and after the sale, paying attention to customers and following up with them. Overall, it was a very engaging session with passionate entrepreneurs who were willing to develop their sales skills and build a stronger business model,” Al Habsi added.
