Creamy Coleslaw Dressing

This creamy coleslaw dressing can be made in a jiffy, thanks to the easily available and simple ingredients. It’s ready in 5 minutes, and much better than store-bought slaw.

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup mayonnaise



• 4 tablespoons vinegar

• 1 tablespoon sugar

• Salt and pepper, to taste

• 2 cups coleslaw vegetable mix of shredded cabbage and carrots

Preparation

In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Add the cabbage and carrot mix a handful at a time, stirring to combine the dressing before adding more of the mix. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Hollandaise Sauce

Here’s the classic Hollandaise — creamy rich, lemony, and smooth. Pour it over vegetables, eggs, fish, and seafood for that heavenly meal. It is the perfect companion of Egg Benedict too.

Ingredients

• 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest

• 1 tablespoon lemon juice

• 3 egg yolks

• 150g butter

Preparation

Put lemon zest, juice, and egg yolks into a food processor or blender. Blend for 10 seconds. In a saucepan, melt butter on very low heat and pour this mix and whisk well till everything combines well. This should be for only 2-3 minutes as the blender has done the major part of the whisking work. The sauce should be thick and smooth. Switch off the flame and season to taste. (Please do not turn up the heat or overcook.)

Honey Mustard Dressing

All you need is honey, Dijon mustard, and olive oil to make a classic honey mustard dressing. Whip it up just before serving, and try it with chicken salad.

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup Dijon mustard

• 1/4 cup honey

• 1/4 cup olive oil

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

• Black pepper

Preparation

Toss all the ingredients into a bowl and whisk until the dressing is silky and smooth.

Caesar's Salad Dressing

This restaurant-style Caesar salad dressing can be made at home with just a few ingredients. It is creamy and delicious too.

Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons lemon juice

• 1 clove garlic, minced

• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

• 1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

• 1 cup mayonnaise or Greek yoghurt

• 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

• 1/4 teaspoon salt

• 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preparation

Whisk lemon juice, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard until well-combined. Add in mayonnaise (or Greek yoghurt) and whisk until creamy. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
