Oman to host world summit on semiconductors and electronic chips

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, will host on Wednesday the 'Global Summit on Semiconductors and Electronic Chips'.

The event will see the participation of a number of CEOs of companies working in the field of semiconductors and electronic chips from various countries of the world along with a number of experts and specialists in this field.

The two-day summit seeks to provide many investment opportunities to meet with leaders of the semiconductor industry from different countries of the world and hold talks with decision-makers to reveal investment plans and areas of cooperation.

It is scheduled to hold field visits for CEOs to visit free zones and economic zones in the Sultanate to focus on Oman as an economic and technical destination that attracts investments and to enhance efforts to localise technology.
