Muscat: Jebel Akdhar Data Center (Datamount), a leading carrier-neutral data centre and provider of cloud technologies, colocation and data centre management services, announced the appointment of Abdulmonem Mohammed Al Futaisi as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 10, 2023.
Abdulmonem Al Futaisi comes with more than 18 years of experience in the field of telecommunications and information technology, where he has held senior leadership positions. Abdulmonem’s main mission would be to drive growth by capitalising on the exciting opportunities present in the market nationally and internationally.
“It was the board's keenness to select a young Omani with the requisite competencies to lead the growth and expansion of Datamount, especially when the new Data Center in Muscat is reaching its final stages of completion,” said Dr Tahir Al Kindi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Datamount.
Dr Tahir further stated that the board looks forward to working with Abdulmonem and is confident that he will accelerate the growth of the company.
