Four arrested for possession, trafficking of illegal drugs

Muscat: Royal Oman Police's Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Ad Dakhiliyah arrested three people for possession of marijuana, for the purpose of trafficking and using them.
Authorities seized a large amount of marjiuana during the arrest. The defendants were subsequently referred to the judicial authorities to begin legal proceedings.
In a separate case, Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Musandam arrested an individual on charges of possessing and using narcotics.
A police official said, "The suspect was found in possession of 52 capsules filled with psychotropic substances and was referred to judicial authorities to begin legal proceedings."
The ROP commended the efforts of citizens and residents in the fight against narcotics and drug trafficking.
