Oman, Jordan engage in trade worth $118mn

Amman: The total volume of trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, amounted to $118.4 million at the end of November 2022.

The data of the Jordanian Department of Statistics showed that the volume of the Sultanate of Oman's exports to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan amounted to about $53 million at the end of November 2022, while the volume of Jordanian imports to the Sultanate of Oman amounted to about $65.4 million during the same period.

The main exports from the Sultanate of Oman to Jordan were semi-finished products of non-alloyed iron or steel, natural gas, non-alloyed iron and steel alloys, polyethylene products and other products.

Jordanian exports to the Sultanate of Oman were represented in pharmaceutical products, vegetable and fruit products, jewellery, and other food products.

The spokesman for the Jordanian Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, confirmed to Oman News Agency (ONA) that coordination is underway with the Omani side to hold the 11th session of the Jordanian-Omani Joint Committee soon to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various economic fields.
