HM the Sultan made a phone call to Syrian President

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today made a telephone call to President Dr. Bashar Al Assad of Syria. He expressed his deep condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the President and the Syrian people in the aftermath of the recent devastating earthquake. During the telephonic conversation, His Majesty the Sultan reaffirmed Oman’s solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic. He voiced Oman’s support for all in view of this grave accident, praying to Allah the Almighty to alleviate its impacts, help the Syrian people overcome this ordeal and spare them any harm.

Omani researcher devises new model for understanding chemical reactions

Omani researcher Dr. Maitha Rabee Al Jabri, Assistant Professor of Engineering at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Sohar, devised a model to understand the interactions that take place between components of industrial products composed of chemical elements. The model is the first-of-its-kind in the world. Dr. Maitha told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the research study provided a new approach that influences chemistry-based industry.
