Italian Chef Emiliano Di Stefano is back with authentic Italian Cuisine at Tomato Restaurant, InterContinental Muscat

Hotel InterContinental Muscat is pleased to announce the appointment of renowned Italian chef, Emiliano Di Stefano as Executive Sous Chef and culinary leader of Tomato Italian restaurant.

Emiliano was born in Torino, in the culinary heart of Piedmont Province, which is known for its truffle, mushrooms and chestnuts and famous for Barbaresco and Barolo wines. As young child he started to be fascinated by food, ingredients and cooking and many of his dishes are inspired by the recipes of his family that originated from Sicily. His career exposed him over the past 22 years to many different countries and regions, like England, France, Maldives, China and India, which expanded his culinary creativity and knowledge and generated fascinating stories around his signature dishes. Chef Emiliano is no stranger to Oman as this is his second assignment at the hotel. “I am super excited to be back and working with such friendly people and the most talented team in this most beautiful country.”

Besides keeping traditional Italian dishes truly authentic, he shows a strong commitment to sustainability and locally sourced ingredients and he will be working closely with local farmers and suppliers to ensure that the restaurant produces dishes from only the freshest and most responsibly-sourced ingredients.

Tomato Italian restaurant at InterContinental Muscat will present our guests with a new Italian menu prepared by Chef Emilliano by the second half of February.
