Muscat: More than 2,000 Omani citizens have secured private sector jobs in the first 15 days of the year, according to the Ministry of Manpower.
The Ministry of Manpower affirmed in a statement on Wednesday that during the period from 1 to 15 January, 2,097 citizens were appointed in various private sector establishments.
This comes in continuation of the efforts exerted by all relevant government and private institutions to provide job opportunities for job seekers.
The Council of Ministers has approved a plan to provide 25,000 job opportunities for citizens.
The Ministry pointed out that 1,034 male and female citizens with certificates below the general education diploma were appointed, along with 673 male and female citizens with the general education diploma and 381 male and female citizens with university diploma or university degree.
