Muscat: Oman Housing Bank has called on its customers who received a text message about subsidised loans to complete the procedures within one month of receiving the message to avoid the consequences of delay and cancellation of the loan application.

The bank said in an announcement to its customers through its official Twitter account that the bank has sent a short text message to subsidised loan providers for July 2019 applications for all purposes.

The bank also sent a text message to loan providers for the purpose of purchasing a ready-made house, in addition to loans transferred to commercial banks that have reached their turn, and land purchase requests for the period from August 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.

This applies to all branches of the Housing Bank, except for the Khasab and Salalah branches.

The bank also indicated that it had sent a text message to the applicants in the Salalah branch for all purposes from January 1, 2021 AD to December 31, 2021 AD.

It is noteworthy that His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik stressed the need to strengthen the partnership between Oman Housing Bank and various local banks, with the aim of accelerating the provision of financing to applicants on the waiting list, including housing loan applications submitted to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.

His Majesty announced his readiness to sign new agreements with a number of local banks in order to enhance his ability to expand lending and reduce waiting periods for bank loans.
