Muscat: An air depression is expected to affect the Sultanate of Oman. This is the third such depression within 15 days of the year 2023, heralding a cold winter and sporadic rains.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), represented by Oman Meteorology, stated in a tweet that there are indications that Oman’s air will be affected by a groove caused by an air depression on Tuesday and Wednesday (January 17-18).
The statement also said that rains of varying intensity are expected in the Musandam Governorate. Thunder is also expected at times, with chances of sporadic rains in the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman, and high waves on the coasts of Musandam and the Sea of Oman.
