Muscat: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) received a business delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) led by Dr Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
The meeting explored means of developing trade and economic relations, as well as enhancing the trade exchange between the two countries.
Businessmen and businesswomen were briefed on investment opportunities in the two countries.
The meeting also touched on mechanisms of diversifying and enhancing joint interests between the two sides. Emphasis was laid on the investment sector in commensurate with markets in both countries.
The meeting also highlighted mechanisms for exploiting joint investment opportunities. It also urged businessmen to set up joint ventures between the two sides.
The Omani imports from UAE hit more than OMR2.957 billion by the end of August 2022 whereas the Omani exports to the UAE stood at more than OMR890.9 million.
The meeting was attended by Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of the OCCI Board of Directors and Omani businessmen.
