Muscat: With an investment value exceeding OMR 150 million, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has signed eight new agreements in the fields of real estate development and integrated service stations.
Oman News Agency (ONA) reported that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning signed today eight new agreements, with an investment value exceeding OMR 150 million, in the fields of real estate development and integrated service stations, covering the Governorates of Muscat, North Al Batinah and South Al Batinah.
The agreements represented the establishment of an integrated city with facilities in the Wilayat of Amerat on a total area of more than 445,000 square meters to provide 1,050 housing units with an investment value exceeding OMR 60 million. In addition to the establishment of another similar city in the Halban region of South Al Batinah Governorate on a total area of more than 637,000 square meters to provide 1,350 housing units with an investment value of about OMR 100 million.
The agreements included the expansion of the network of integrated service stations in the Governorates of North and South Al Batinah, under the usufruct system of residential, commercial and tourist lands. An agreement was signed to establish two integrated service stations in the wilayats of Liwa and Saham in North Al Batinah Governorate, on a total area of 45,000 square meters for both stations and with an investment value of OMR 4,600,000.
The agreements also included the establishment of two integrated service stations in the Wilayat of Barka, South Al Batinah Governorate on a total area of 60,000 square meters for both stations, with an investment value of OMR 3 million.
The agreements included the signing of an agreement to grant land under a usufruct system for the expansion of the Oman Liquefied Natural Gas Company at the Airport Heights in Muscat Governorate, on a total area of 2,194 square meters, with an investment value of OMR 1 million.
The agreements were signed by His Excellency Dr. Khalfan bin Said Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning on the Ministry's side, while on behalf of companies and private sector institutions the representatives and CEOs of these companies signed.
