Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced some instructions for the Gulf Cup fans who will attend the semi-finals of Arabian Gulf Cup in Kuwait.
“The ROP calls on citizens who will support the national team to take civil ID cards and to use the electronic gateway to expedite their travel,” ROP said on twitter.
“This step is to expedite processing. Instead of using passports and waiting in long queues, people will be allowed to enter with their ID cards through the electronic gates,” said an official from ROP.
“The flights will be consecutive on Monday night or Tuesday morning, so this facilitative action will be much easier and faster," he added.
As thousands of people are expected to attend the match, the ROP confirmed that all citizens are allowed to travel to any GCC countries through the identity document cards.
Oman will play Bahrain in the semi-finals of the tournament on Tuesday, January 2 at the Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City.
The game will be broadcast on both BEIN Sports and Abu Dhabi Sports, as well as the Sultanate’s national channel, Oman TV.
However, if you are among those who are planning to pack a bag and go watch Oman live in Kuwait, you’ve got the instructions.
