His Majesty’s Prize for Arts and Culture distributed

Muscat: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Rawiya bint Saud Al Busaidiya, Minister for Higher Education on Monday distributed His Majesty’s Prize for Arts and Culture at an event at Al Wahat Club, Azaiba.
Jalaluddin Ahmed Amin from Egypt won in the field of Economic Studies and Culture and in Cultural Critique it was won by Saad bin Abdul Rahman Al Bazei from Saudi Arabia.
In Architect Design, Arts, the prize was withheld as no contribution was up to the standard and objectives. The minister declared during the celebration the fields of the seventh cycle in 2018 for HM’s culture and arts “the prizes shall be for Omanis only” and in immaterial cultural heritage , culture and short films, Arabic poetry. Habib bin Mohammed Al Ruyami, the secretary general for the Sultan Qaboos higher centre for culture and science, informed in the beginning of event, that dealing with human achievements needs continuous efforts and cooperation for every society. The prize was established by the Royal Decree No.18/2011 in order to support the fields of culture and arts.
