1. Emergency exercise carried out at Duqm Port
A comprehensive emergency exercise is being carried out at the Duqm Port, Al Wusta Governorate till 11.30 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
"A comprehensive emergency exercise will be carried out at Duqm Airport on the morning of Tuesday, December 13, 2022, between (9 am - 11.30 am ), as you will notice a density in the movement of emergency ambulance vehicles on the airport road and in front of the passenger building during this period," Oman Airports said in a statement.
Oman Airports confirmed that all necessary preparations have been taken to ensure that airport operations and traffic in the areas adjacent to the airport are not affected.
2. One arrested for violating traffic regulations in Muscat Governorate
A person has been arrested and his vehicle was seized for violating traffic regulations in Muscat Governorate.
"Muscat Governorate Police Command was able to arrest a vehicle driver after a video clip circulated showing his violation of traffic regulations, endangering his life and the lives of others. The legal procedures are being completed against him," ROP said in a statement.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) calls on everyone to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to make our roads safer.
3. Muscat Municipality cancels issuing health cards to workers
Muscat Municipality announces cancellation of issuing health card to workers, starting from first quarter of next year.
“To enhance the business environment, Muscat Municipality cancels the service for issuing a health card for workers (workers' list) to be regulated by the competent authority. The application will start the first quarter of next year, 2023,” Muscat Municipality said.
Muscat Municipality announced today: “Following the Royal directives and building on the efforts intended to review government service fees, Muscat Municipality re-engineers its service procedures, cancels 24 fees, reduces and combines 31, to come into force during the first quarter of 2023.”
