Alizz Islamic's Bushra Prize Account wins award for Best Savings Product

Muscat: Alizz Islamic Bank won the award for Best Savings Product (Oman) at the 12th Islamic Business and Finance Awards.
The accolade is for the first Sharia-compliant prize savings account in the Sultanate, the Bushra Prize Savings account. The Islamic Business and Finance Awards is the preeminent regional Islamic finance awards and the bank was presented the award at the annual awards ceremony. Moosa Al Jadidi, Chief Operating Officer - Alizz Islamic Bank collected the award in the presence of senior bank executives at an exclusive gala dinner.
Speaking on the occasion Al Jadidi said, “Winning this award is a significant recognition of the Bank's commitment to continuously provide customers with the best products and services. Alizz Islamic Bank is a customer friendly institution with commitment at its core. We make smart decisions for our customers and welcome all individuals to experience the Alizz way of banking."
Al Jadidi added, “We launched the Bushra Prize Savings Account early last year as Oman’s first fully Sharia-compliant prize savings account offering daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cash prizes as hiba (gift) from the shareholders’ funds. The account, which comes with the approval of the Sharia Supervisory Board, reflects the bank’s efforts to deliver innovative and high-quality products and ensure a premium customer experience. This award is a testament that we are well on our way to becoming Oman’s most innovative bank. ”
The winners of the 12th Islamic Business & Finance Awards were announced at a gala dinner held at Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai attended by some 200 Islamic bankers and financiers from around the world. Nearly 40,000 votes were cast across 64 categories in the online poll.
The Islamic Business & Finance Awards were established in 2005. The aim of the process is to recognise the best performing institutions in a variety of regions where Islamic finance is either already developed or is rapidly expanding. The global event attracts nominations and submissions from Europe, Americas, Africa, Middle East and Asia.
Alizz Islamic Bank continues to be a highly innovative bank with customer experience at its core. The bank has many firsts including being the first bank in the Sultanate to introduce the Interactive Teller Machine. This one of a kind innovation lets customers have a face-to-face connection with the bank teller without having to actually step into a branch. In addition, the retail banking department has launched multiple saving products that have greatly benefited the customers.
