Oman to celebrate Armed Forces Day on Sunday

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will celebrate the Armed Forces Day on Sunday, which falls on 11 December every year.

The Sultan’s Armed Forces earned several achievements in organisational, training, operational and armament   fields under the royal care and attention of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, and performed remarkable tasks and national duty to preserve the security and stability of the country as per the development plans and to transform such plans into reality in line with Oman Vision 2040.

The Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) have witnessed development, modernisation and progress since the dawn of the blessed renaissance, the pillars and foundations of which were laid by late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimour.

SAF continues its support for the development plans and contributes under various conditions along with the other government entities.

On the occasion of the Armed Forces Day, the SAF  will organise various celebrations at its units in memory of this glorious event.
