Riyadh: President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China received on Friday His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers , on the sidelines of the Gulf-Chinese Cooperation and Development Summit, in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Chinese President and the friendly Chinese people for continued progress and prosperity, and for further boost to the relations between the two friendly countries.
For his part, the President of the People's Republic of China expressed his deep greetings and appreciation for His Majesty the Sultan's and hoped for further progress and development to the relations of the two countries.
During the meeting, they reviewed the good relations between the two friendly countries and emphasised keenness of both sides to strengthen and develop them in various fields, in a way that would bring mutual benefits to achieve the aspirations of the friendly people.
The meeting was attended on the Omani side by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sa’eedi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a number of officials from the Chinese side attended the meeting.
