Labour Ministry issues circular on employment contracts for Omanis

Muscat: Based on the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the word “temporary” will be removed from all employment contracts for Omani employees.

The circular of the Ministry of Labour stated that we would like to inform you that the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik decided to remove the word (temporary) from all work contracts that are signed to employ citizens.

An official from the Ministry of Labour said to Times of Oman that the employment contract will remain temporary, but the word “temporary” will only be removed.
