Three arrested after stealing OMR5,000 and torching car

Muscat: Three thieves who stole OMR5,000 and committed five other cases of theft from shops in Nizwa, were arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
An official source in the ROP said, "The perpetrators stole an amount of OMR5,000 from a safe in a shop. They then stole a vehicle that was parked in front of the shop and burned it with the stolen safe inside it, in order to mislead the police."
After a search and investigation, the defendants were found, questioned and confessed to having committed four similar cases.
They were referred to the judicial authorities to complete the legal proceedings.
