Emir of Qatar offers condolences to Sayyid Fahd

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers yesterday received at the Royal Family Members’ Hall, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar and his accompanying delegation.
Sheikh Tamim paid a short visit to the Sultanate to offer condolences on the death of His Highness Sayyid Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said.
During the meeting, Emir of Qatar expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy on the death of Sayyid Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said, praying to the Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace and grant his family patience to bear his loss.
Sayyid Fahd expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Tamim and his delegation for their sincere condolences and sympathy.
The meeting was attended by a number of members of the royal family, ministers and senior officials.
The Emir of Qatar and his accompanying delegation were received and seen off, yesterday, by His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, His Highness Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd Al Said, His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Minister of Justice and the charge d’ affaires at the Embassy of Qatar in Muscat and members of the Embassy.
Sheikh Tamim was accompanied by a delegation comprising Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, chief of the Emiri Diwan; Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Sheikh Thani bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
