1. Two animals make a rare appearance in Dhofar 


Striped hyena and a red fox were spotted together in Jabal Samhan in Dhofar Governorate. 

"In an event that is considered rare, the specialists of the Environment Authority at the Jabal Samhan Nature Reserve management centre spotted the striped hyena and the red fox appearing together at the same time, through trap cameras," Environment Authority said in a statement.  

2. Amerat Public Park to temporarily close on these dates

Amerat Public Park will be temporarily closed for three days from November 15 to November 17, 2022, to prepare an event celebrating the 52nd National Day.

"Please be advised that Muscat Municipality, in coordination with the Secretariat General of National Celebrations, will close Amerat Public Park from 15 to 17 November, 2022, in order to prepare an event celebrating the 52nd National Day," Muscat Municipality said in a statement.

3. Man arrested for drifting in Oman

A person has been arrested by Royal Oman Police (ROP) for drifting in his vehicle.

"After circulating a video clip of a driver drifting in his vehicle, endangering his life and the lives of others, which is unacceptable behaviour, and a violation punishable by the Traffic Law, the driver was arrested and the vehicle was seized. The legal procedures are being completed against him," Directorate General of Traffic said in a statement. 

4. Three people arrested for stealing jewelry in Oman

Three people were arrested by Royal Oman Police (ROP) for stealing jewelry after defrauding citizens.

"The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation arrested three people of Arab and European nationalities on charges of stealing jewelry after defrauding citizens and seizing their money and property. The legal procedures are being completed against them,"ROP said in a statement.
