Muscat: The Muscat International Eye Conference 2022 has begun today, Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center and will last for three days. This conference aims to keep pace with developments in ophthalmology and surgery.
The Ministry of Health said: “Activities of the Muscat International Eye Conference 2022 begins, under the patronage of His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, and in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center.”
“The work of the conference aims to keep abreast of developments in ophthalmology, organized by the Ophthalmology Center at the Armed Forces Hospital in cooperation with the Omani Ophthalmological Society and with the participation of the Ministries of Defence and Health, the Omani Council for Medical Specialisations, the Omani Medical Association and Sultan Qaboos University Hospital.”
Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Saidi - Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Muscat International Eye Conference said: “The conference includes holding scientific sessions in three halls simultaneously over a period of three days, in addition to two laboratories for training on rare eye operations using animal eyes or industrial equipment using the same tools and devices.”
“As well as for training on the operation, use and interpretation of the results of advanced devices in ophthalmology and in the presence of specialists from outside the Sultanate and from manufacturers in order to transfer technology and experience to doctors and their assistants working in this field in order to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment in medical institutions.”
