Muscat: The Secretary-General of the United Nations praised the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman in supporting the international peace and stability.
Oman News Agency (ONA), reported that His Excellency Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, praised the role of the Sultanate of Oman in supporting everything that serves security, peace and stability in the Middle East and the world.
During his visit to the headquarters of the Sultanate of Oman's permanent delegation to the United Nations in New York, Secretary-General added that the world knows the history of Oman, the role of the Omanis, and the culture of tolerance and coexistence that they spread in many parts of the world, and which is still witness to this in many regions of Asia and Africa.
His Excellency Ambassador Dr Mohammed bin Awadh Al Hassan, the Permanent Representative of Oman to the United Nations, expressed his appreciation for the visit of the Secretary-General to the headquarters of the delegation of Oman, stressing that Oman, under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik , is continuing to serve security and peace, enhance stability and cooperation, and raise the status of international law.
