Muscat: The Zubair Corporation has announced the appointment of Mr. Sultan Al Ghaithi as Head of Smart Electrical Systems & Automation Sector (SEA Sector), which includes: Zubair Electric Group and Federal Transformers and Electrical Products companies operating in Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Sultan Al Ghaithi, in addition to supervising this vital sector, is currently undertaking supervision duties of the Corporation's group of companies in energy, natural resources and chemical industries, in addition to his duties as CEO of Ara Petroleum.
Al Zubair bin Mohammad Al Zubair, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Zubair Corporation, commenting on the appointment of Mr. Sultan Al Ghaithi, said: “This appointment is a positive step towards realizing the objectives of the Omani Competency Development Program, being one of the main pillars of the Corporation’s strategy in human capital investment by providing the drive and right work environment for Omani competencies to excel and thrive. Mr. Sultan Al Ghaithi joined in 2015 and has proven his abilities in many fields, specifically those related to engineering industries and aspects of expansion and development in such fields, which made him excellently qualified to lead and develop the operations of smart electrical systems and automation.”
Sultan Al Ghaithi has accumulated extensive experience with more than 20 years in this field. Since commencing his career with Petroleum Development Oman as a Well Engineer, Sultan had gained 16 years of high caliber experience through his work in leading energy companies prior to joining Ara Petroleum, a subsidiary of the Zubair Corporation, in 2015.
In his new role as Head of the Smart Electrical Systems & Automation Sector at The Zubair Corporation, Sultan will lead seven different companies, which include Federal Transformers and Electrical Products, Zubair General Trading (UAE), Zubair Electric (Oman), Federal Transformers FTS, Spectra (Saudi Arabia), Federal Power Transformers FTP and Zeeman (Qatar).
Sultan Al Ghaithi expressed his enthusiasm and pleasure, stating: “It is a great honor for me to supervise the Corporation’s automation and smart electrical systems operations in the region, as over the past few years, the Corporation’s entities operating in this sector have grown significantly in terms of size and scope, therefore investment opportunities are abundant in this field. Based on my experience in this sector and close cooperation with officials in these companies, I look forward to achieving further expansions in this sector to enhance our leadership position in the region.”
