Volcanic eruption strands tourists on Bali

Tourists have been left stranded on the Indonesian island of Bali after a volcanic eruption sent smoke and ash thousands of metres into the atmosphere, disrupting flights.

Aurelien, stranded passenger : "There was an eruption and we have not been notified, but apparently the ashes are way too high and all the flights were cancelled. So we are just here at the airport, we don't know what to do and we're trying to find another flight and a place where to sleep"

Aurelien, stranded passenger : "I was supposed to be at work tomorrow morning, so we're all texting our wives and bosses to say 'look we're going to be a bit late, we're stuck in Bali' which I would say it's not that bad"
