Indian school Muladha Celebrates National Day of Oman

Muscat: Indian school Muladha expressed loyalty to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and the Sultanate on the occasion of the 47th National Day. The school celebrated the glorious day in a befitting manner.
The entire school premises was decorated with His Majesty’s photographs and the Sultanate’s flag. Melodious music filled the ears of everyone as one entered the campus bringing out the spirit of patriotism.
A colourful cultural programme was organised to commemorate the day.
The chief guest, Ms. Nadia Salam Al Khusaibi, Principal of Tharmad Omani School solicited and graced the occasion. She was also accompanied by Ms. Sara Al Muraad Al Balushi. Mr. Siddique Hassan, President, School Management Committee, Mr.Felix Vincent Gabriel,Convenor, Mr. S.I. Shareef , Principal, Mr. V.S.Suresh , Vice principal, Dr. Lekha O.C. the CC&EC coordinator, teaching and administrative staff and students attended the function.
The grand celebration was started with the National Anthem of the Sultanate of Oman instilling a feeling of patriotism and a sense of pride for the motherland. This was followed by the invocation – Qirat reciting by ZiyaShihab of class 9C and translated in English by FidhaShanavaz of class 9C.
Mrs.Divya Praveen, faculty of English Department welcomed the gathering.
The melodious Arabic song rendered by the students won the appreciation of the audience.
The girls of Class 6 to 8 enlightened the hearts of all by performing anOmani dance. Ms. Fathima, the administrative staff gave a speech in Arabic praising Sultan Qaboosfollowed by the translation in English by Mr.Niyas Ahmed, Coordinator External events.
The Senior boys gave a fabulous presentation of the traditional Omani dance which stirred feelings of national pride in everyone’s heart.
The chief guest Ms. Nadia addressed the gathering. In her speech, she hailed the unparalleled leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. She also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty and prayed for him.
Mr. Siddque Hassan, President gave the speech requesting everyone whether Omanis or expatriates to renew their loyalty towards His Majesty and praised the spectacular development of Oman under the leadership of Sultan.
He also prayed to God to shower His blessings on Sultan for a healthy life. This was followed by the Principal’s speech.In his speech, he paid tributes and expressed loyalty to His Majesty as well as to the Sultanate.
He also congratulated the people of Oman and prayed that their ruler may live long in perfect health and safety to take the country further ahead in the path of peace and prosperity. He thanked the people of Oman for hosting the expatriates with much love, affection and respect and the Omani Staff of the school for working in perfect collaboration and co-operation.
The much awaited moment of cake cutting came next. The beautifully decorated cake designed as the National Flag of Oman was cut by the dignitaries. Mr. Faisal Babu, Department of Social Science gave the vote of thanks.
After the cultural programme, students from class 1 to class 12 led by the dignitaries took out a procession around the school campus waving miniature flags and hailing the long life of Sultan.
The celebration ended with a sumptuous meal for all the staff and drinks and cakes for all the students.The cultural exchange of the school resulted in further strengthening the bonds of friendship between India and Oman.
