1. Oman's Ministry extends date for registration in electoral roll
The Sultanate of Oman's Ministry of Interior has announced the extension of the period for receiving applications for registration in the electoral register until Thursday, November 10, 2022.
The Ministry also requests for transferring registration from one wilayat to another for the elections of municipal council members for the third period, on or before the extended timeline.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior called on citizens who were not previously registered in the electoral register to quickly submit their applications through the elections website (elections.om), while ensuring that their personal cards are equipped with the electronic certification system (PKI).
2. Oman supports Lebanese-Israeli maritime border pact
The Sultanate of Oman has expressed its support to Lebanon for signing the agreement on the demarcation of the Lebanese-Israeli maritime borders, and also appreciated the efforts of the United States of America to accomplish this agreement.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “This will enable Lebanon to enjoy its sovereign maritime rights and benefit from the wealth and natural resources in its exclusive economic zone, which will benefit the Lebanese people.”
3. Oman Air bags APEX 5-Star Major Airline Award for third consecutive year
Oman Air has been awarded the 2023 5-Star Major Airline rating by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX).
The national Airline said: “Oman Air is honoured to be awarded the 2023 5-Star Major Airline rating by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) for 3 years in a row. We want to extend a warm thank you to our valued guests for their contributions in making this milestone possible.”
