Muscat: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, described youth as the most important pillar of Oman Vision 2040, which aims at realising sustainability and prosperity for the generation of present-day Oman and future generations.
In a message of greetings on the occasion of Oman Youth Day, HH Sayyid Theyazin said, “We are pleased to congratulate the youth of Sultanate of Oman on their day’s anniversary—the 26th of October. We would like to commend the tangible role of youth in the elevation of their country’s status. We hereby reaffirm the well-deserved attention accorded to youth—to motivate them to carry forward the banner of resourceful action.”
HH Sayyid Theyazin pointed out that His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik accords his attention to Omani youth, and this is evidenced by his Royal directives to give top priority to the needs of young people. This unique approach to study the ambitious requirements of youth has placed Oman in the sphere of advanced nations, he added.
In line with this auspicious approach and, in implementation of all that Oman Vision 2040 seeks to achieve, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth continues to exert efforts to empower young Omani talents and Omani innovators, utilizing the instruments of the modern era of technology. Accordingly, the Omani Youth Centre has been established to offer wide scope for innovation and creative thinking among youth, HH Sayyid Theyazin explained.
“Hence, we are moving forward to support creativity, empower talented people and take care of constructive minds. We value the roles that they undertake to generate benefits to their peers and to the country at large,” HH Sayyid Theyazin added.
HH Sayyid Theyazin pointed out that "the contribution of young people towards the goals of Oman Vision 2040 constitutes a cornerstone for the aspiration of the Sultanate of Oman in present and future. They are the hands that build and the minds that plan. This prime cannot be attained without constant commitment to the national fundamentals. It requires hard work, sincerity and determination. Thus, we reiterate our call to you, passionate youth, to be a model and an honorable example to be followed, regionally and internationally.”
