1. CBO issues treasury bills worth OMR13 million
The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) raised OMR13 million by way of allotting treasury bills on Tuesday. The treasury bills are for a maturity period of 28 days, from October 19 until November 16, 2022.
2. Expats arrested for possessing narcotic drugs in Oman
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested eight expats for possessing and using narcotic drugs in Al Wusta Governorate.
A statement issued online by ROP said :"The Al Wusta Governorate Police Command has arrested eight expatriates of Asian nationality on charges of possession and use of narcotic drugs. The legal procedures are being completed against them."
3. People urged not to provide any private information to anonymous entities
The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has urged public not to provide any private information or data to anonymous entities.
NCSI calls to refrain from providing any private information or data to anonymous entities . The Center emphasises that all entities and individuals who wish to conduct statistical surveys or public opinion surveys must acquire prior consent from the Centre to avoid legal accountability and to appeal to the public interest.
