Royal Academy of Management plans  to provide competent leaders

Muscat: The Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Management held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court. The board members were also present during the meeting.

The strategy and plans of the Academy for the next phase were discussed along with the programmes to be launched. Through these programmes, the Academy seeks to develop national leaders at various levels of management, to broaden the horizons of the Omani economy, and to provide the public and private sectors with empowered leaders and qualified competencies in line with the Oman Vision 2040 mission to build innovative and future-ready managerial apparatus.

The Board of Trustees includes Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, as Chairman of the Board, and Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, Vice Chairman.

The board members are Prof. Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baawain, Minister of Labour; Dr. Ali bin Qassim Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management; Sheikh Waleed bin Khamis Al Hashar, CEO of Bank Muscat; Ms. Khaula bint Hamoud AlHarthy, CEO of Injaz Oman; and Dr. Hatem bin Bakhit Al-Shanfari, faculty member at the College of Economics and Political Science, Sultan Qaboos University.

The Royal Academy of Management is blessed by the honorary patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. Established in January 2022, the Academy aims to develop national leaders at various levels of management in the public and private sectors through an integrated suite of specialised centres, initiatives, and programmes based on the latest concepts and trends in New Public Management.
