Muscat: The Royal Opera House Muscat is delighted to present the World Premiere of 'Flamenco Meets Tango, from Buenos Aires to Seville'.
The Compañia Flamenca Antonio Andrade has joined forces with Tango Legends to deliver a vibrant show exploring two of the world’s most loved dance and music genres.
Each genre has been awarded the title of ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’ by UNESCO, shown to embody the identity and passion of two great countries.
The programme is designed to showcase the best of both genres, moving seamlessly from Flamenco to Tango and back before culminating in a grand finale which merges the two forms and redefines a cultural relationship.
The concept is a Royal Opera House Muscat commission, designed by Javier Andrade of the Compañia Flamenca Antonio Andrade and produced by Con Arte Music and Management for Teatro Flamenco Sevilla.
Flamenco is brought to you by the musical genius of guitarist and artistic director, Antonio Andrade and his Flamenco dance company, while the Tango is presented by the Cinco Esquinas Quintet, the singer Solange Freyre and the dance partners of Guillermo León and Rebecca Nuñez, Mariano Otero and Alejandra Heredía and Gonzalo Capitani and Carolina González.
The showwill be a stunning visual journey into a dramatic world of music and dance. Be inspired by the cultural experience and the originality of this World Premiere.
The performance will take place at the Royal Opera House Muscat over two nights on October 6 & 7, at 7pm. For more details or to book tickets please visit the ROHM box office, website or app.
