Forum to focus on best practices in the field of adventure tourism

Muscat: The activities of the two-day Oman Tourism Forum, concerned with adventure tourism, will kick off on Tuesday.

The forum is being organised by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Oman Convention Exhibitions Centre, Omran Group and Visit Oman Platform

The forum will focus on the best practices in the field of adventure tourism and the key initiatives for improvement of the Sultanate’s efforts in this field.

The forum will also tackle the adventure tourism and its contribution to local tourism and will acquaint the participants with the key tourism landmarks  and sites and the geographic,  biological and natural diversity in the Sultanate including the caves, the beaches, wadis, plain lands and deserts, which made the Sultanate a tourism destination attractive to tourists throughout the year.

Oman Tourism Forum aims to consider the key factors that are attractive in the field of adventure tourism and the role of the various adventure activities in showcasing the Sultanate as a distinct tourism destination at the regional and international level.

The forum also aimed to bring under one roof representatives of the departments concerned in the government and private sectors organising tours, national owners of initiatives and suppliers as to present their experiences in the field of adventure tourism and the main services and offers they provide in the field of tourism.
