Muscat: According to a new amendment to the residence visa rule, the stamping of visa on expatriates' passports has not become mandatory. The residence card is sufficient for visa purposes, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
An official source from the Royal Oman Police (ROP) told Times of Oman that earlier visa stamping was done on the passports of expatriates but that provision has been done away with. Currently, that is not required to be stored in the system and the residence card is sufficient, the official said.
