Salalah: The Intellectual Forum for the AGCC Youth concluded on Tuesday at Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment.
The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in Dhofar Governorate hosted the forum, which saw the participation of the AGCC States.
The conclusion ceremony was organised under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Ameri, Chairman of Environment Authority in the presence of Khalid bin Salim Al Ghassani, Advisor of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth; Mansour Al Mansour representative of the Secretariat General of the AGCC and a number of officials.
Ali bin Mohammed Baqi, Director of the Department of Sports and Youth Activities at the Directorate General of Culture, Sports and Youth in Dhofar Governorate gave a speech in which he said that the forum aimed to further cement communication among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) youth through exchange of expertise and youth experiences and to provide the youth with the skills of dialogue.
It also aimed to acquaint the participants with the tourism landmarks and developments in the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) States, he added.
Balqis Basloum from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Dr. Yousef Tandil from Kuwait delivered the speech of the participants in the forum.
Video presentation
The forum also saw video presentation on the forum and honouring the participants. The activities of the forum also included seminars and delivering various working papers by experts from the various AGCC States and a visit to the main tourism sites in Dhofar Governorate.
