Unfit food destroyed, diner closed in Oman

Muscat: Thirty-five kilograms of food was destroyed and a restaurant shut down on Monday for violating Muscat Municipality laws
The inspection and food control department of the Central Market for vegetables and fruits carried out an inspection on the restaurants and cafes operating in the market.
The campaign resulted in a destruction of 35 kg of food not fit for human consumption as well as closure of one restaurant for violating the municipal laws relating to public health.
The legal procedures have been taken in accordance with the provisions of the administrative decision 55/2017 regarding the violations of Muscat Municipality Law, a statement from the Municipality said.
