Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion continues to promote 22 investment opportunities available in the industrial sector for raising the sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product of the Sultanate of Oman, promoting economic diversification and developing national industries.
These opportunities come in cooperation with the Oman Vision 2040 Follow-up Unit, the Oman Investment Authority, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), the Petroleum Development Oman, Nama Holding Group and Mazoon Dairy Company.
The ministry explained that the opportunities are in the areas of manufacturing low voltage gas insulated switchgears, air intake filters for gas turbines, raw materials for thermoplastic and thermosetting tubes, manufacturing measuring instruments, control valves and actuators, and perforations for oil and gas applications.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion indicated that investors can apply for these opportunities through the electronic platform with the availability of pre-purchase contracts for these opportunities.
The ministry confirmed that industrial investment opportunities come within the ministry's plans to develop the industrial sector by creating new economically feasible opportunities that help expand and diversify industrial facilities in the various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
