Muscat: As part of the Oman government’s drive to provide job opportunities to citizens, the Ministry of Labour on Monday announced 1,641 jobs under temporary contracts in government units in different governorates of the Sultanate.
The announcement comes under the ‘Sahim’ or ‘Contribute’ initiative of the Ministry of Labour that aims to provide jobs to national cadres.
The drive will help consolidate decentralisation and allow national cadres to contribute to developing the governorates.
The jobs are distributed for holders of various degrees, starting with 1,190 contracts for bachelor’s degree holders, 451 for General Education Diploma (GED) and below-GED holders.
Registration is open for citizens interested in taking up the jobs for two weeks from the date of announcement, which is considered the third-of-its-kind in 2022 and the eighth in the State’s Administrative Apparatus.
