Muscat: A delegation from the branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Dhofar Governorate, headed by Hussain bin Hatith Al Bathari, head of the branch, met with a number of Jordanian businessmen and investors in order to promote the Dhofar International Investment Forum, which will be organised by the Chamber in Salalah next September.
Hussein bin Hatith Al Bathari said that inviting Jordanian investors and businessmen to participate in the forum comes with the aim of informing them of the investment opportunities available in the Sultanate of Oman and the advantages and facilities provided by the government to investors wishing to invest in various fields.
In a statement to the Oman News Agency, he added that he hopes that the markets of the Kingdom of Jordan will be a springboard for the Sultanate of Oman's exports to its neighboring countries, especially since both countries have integrated infrastructure in this field.
And he indicated that, during his meeting with Jordan Chamber of Commerce officials, he reviewed the chances of success of the forum and the quality and size of participation in it, inviting Jordanian investors and companies to participate in the Dhofar Forum.
It should be noted that the Sultanate of Oman's exports to Jordan during the past year amounted to 79.5 million US dollars, which were represented in fuels, oils, metal products and steel.
