Moderate to heavy rains lash North and South Al Batinah

Sohar: The Wilayats of Sohar, Saham, Liwa, Shinas, A’suwaiq and Al Khabourah in the Governorate of North Al Batinah were impacted by moderate to heavy rains due to the current low pressure affecting the Sultanate of Oman.

The Wilayats of A’Rustaq, Al Awabi, Nakhl, Wadi Al Ma’awil, Barka and Mussanah in the Governorate of South Al Batinah also witnessed torrential rains on Tuesday morning due to the current low pressure.

Rainfall continued for several hours, accompanied with strong winds. Several wadis and streams overflowed in different parts of the governorate.
