Tropical depression weakens in Oman

Muscat: The tropical depression has weakened and retreated to an area of low air pressure, Oman Meteorology announced.

"Weakness and retreat of the tropical depression to an area of low atmospheric pressure with the continued flow of rain clouds over most of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman will result in rainfall of varying intensity over the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta and parts of Dhofar Governorate," Oman Meteorology said in a statement
