Business international Group LLC (BIG), a division of the Zubair Corporation and one of the leading business houses in the Sultanate of Oman, recently organised a scientific talk and immunology workshop the Crowne Plaza Muscat. The workshop was conducted in coordination with its principal company, SNIBE Diagnostics, a Global Bio-Medical Company specialized in clinical laboratory instruments and in vitro diagnostic reagents.
Highlighting the importance of the workshop, Sunny Peter General Manager from BIG said, “SNIBE Diagnostics is one of the global IVD pioneers that have been focusing on chemiluminescence immunoassays for 27 years and represents 147 countries. The workshop followed the BIG and SNIBE partnership discussions, make the best use of mutual capabilities, expertise, and resources, to enable the latter to introduce the products and technologies to healthcare institutions and professionals across the Sultanate. We are proud to be partnered with SNIBE and align with their innovations that will benefit the local medical industry.”
The event saw the presence of around 65 delegates, including senior consultants in biochemistry, microbiology and immunology. Also in attendance were medical pathologists and several laboratory professionals from various institutions across the country, such as the Ministry of Health, the Royal Hospital, Khoula Hospital, Al Nadah Hospital, Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Royal Oman Police Hospital, Ministry of Defense Hospital, Diwan clinic and other major private hospitals and laboratories.
Over the course of the workshop, scientific talks took place, with insights from both Omani and international speakers. Eng. Ghadah Al Mahrouqui, BME, Business International Group LLC kicked off with the opening speech and was the moderator of the programme. Dr. Manal Khalifa Al Kindi, presented the clinical application for Anti-Müllerian Hormone, while Professor Sergio Bernardini, Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology from the Tor Vergata University of Rome shed light on the latest updates in Autoimmune CLIA testing and was part of the Infectious Disease panel discussion.
Other notable mentions include Askar Ali, Senior Division Manager of the Health & Life Science Division, BIG and Aosean Peng, Product Manager from SNIBE Diagnostics. Askar Ali showcased the BIG product portfolio, its latest technology partners in the field of clinical diagnostics and the capabilities of collaborating with customers and undertaking turnkey laboratory projects, as well as related success stories.

On the other hand, Aosean Peng presented the latest series of Immunology analysers (X3 and X8), the fastest CLIA analysers in the world and its capabilities in various immunological CLIA testing as well as its applications in Autoimmune, visa medial testing solutions and other special parameters. This was followed by BIG and SNIBE collectively giving a live demonstration of the latest X3 immunology analyser.
