Royal Oman Police arrests two for selling chewing tobacco in Sur

Muscat: Two people were arrested and a large amount of chewing tobacco was recovered in Sur on Saturday.
According to the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the police team arrested two Asian nationals in Sur and found large amounts of chewing tobacco in their possession.
"The Department of Investigation and Criminal Investigation in South Al Sharqiyah governorate managed to arrest two Asian nationals and seized large amounts of chewing tobacco," ROP reported.
"The team detained two people while they were selling and preparing tobacco mixtures in one of the old houses in Sur," an official from Al Sharqiyah governorate Police said.
The ROP thanked the citizens and residents for their cooperation with the police in dealing with the crime, and warned of many health risks caused by tobacco.
