Muscat: President Abdul Fattah el Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt will pay an official two-day visit to the Sultanate of Oman on Monday.
This was stated in a statement issued by the Diwan of Royal Court reading as follows: “In affirmation of the fraternal relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt, President Abdul Fattah el Sisi of Egypt will pay an official visit lasting two days to the Sultanate of Oman this Monday, 27 June 2022.
The visit stems from the keenness of the leaderships in the two countries in supporting bilateral relations and means of enhancing them towards wider horizons.
The visit will explore various areas that serve the joint interests and meet aspirations of their people. It will also discuss a number of topics of concern to the two sides in light of the regional and international developments.
The Egyptian-Omani relations are a well-established model, not only at the regional level, but also at the international level due to their historical, political, diplomatic, economic, cultural and social dimensions.
These relations are characterised by the historical link between the two great civilisations, and wrapped in the bonds of Arab brotherhood, friendship and love.
The trade exchange between the two countries dates back to the old era, when Omani frankincense was exported from Dhofar to Egypt. The evidence of Omani frankincense had been found in ancient Egyptian temples.
May the Almighty Allah grant the two leaders success to serve their countries, the Arab and Islamic nations!
