Muscat: Oman’s Information Technology Authority (ITA) on Monday warned all government and private sector establishments against computer virus Locky, which is affecting computer systems worldwide.

It called on them to apply all relevant recommendations, guidelines and security measures issued by the ITA .

In a statement the ITA said that it would continue monitoring the developments in this regard.

Until the time of issuing the statement no establishment in the Sultanate has fallen victim to such virus, ITA added.



It urged establishments to inform on being victim to the virus through email ([email protected] or the hotline number 24166828).
