Oman LNG's revenues reach over $3 billion in 2021

Muscat: The revenues of the Oman Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Company's revenues increased by 31 per cent to reach more than $3 billion at the end of 2021.

"The revenues of the Oman Liquefied Natural Gas Company at the end of 2021 witnessed a growth of 31 per cent to reach 3,278 million US dollars compared to the end of 2020, as a result of the rise in global energy prices," Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.

The annual report indicates that the company’s net income at the end of 2021 increased by 34 per cent to reach $886 million. The company has allocated about $37 million to its social responsibility programs and initiatives. The report shows that the liquefied natural gas sector provided government revenues from gas to about 2,873 million US dollars during the past year.

The production rates of the Oman Liquefied Natural Gas Company increased to record levels of 10.6 million metric tons during 2021. It is hoped that the production capacity of locomotives will reach more than 11 million metric tons after the completion of strategic projects in the industrial complex in Qalhat.
