Drug smuggling operation busted in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has thwarted an attempt to smuggle 1,995 packages of Khat into the Sultanate of Oman and arrested four smugglers.

"The Coast Guard Police, led by the Dhofar Governorate Police, seized a boat carrying four smugglers with 1,995 packages of Khat. The legal procedures are being completed against them," ROP said in a statement.
