World’s youngest pilot arrives in Oman

Muscat: The world’s youngest pilot has landed in the Sultanate of Oman on Wednesday. Muscat International Airport welcomed Mack Rutherford with a water salute. 

Oman Airports officials said that 16-year-old Mack Rutherford arrived in Oman in his specially-made plane. The teen pilot is visiting Oman as part of his tour to break the record as the youngest pilot to fly solo around the world

Rutherford, who has both British and Belgian nationality, started his journey near the Bulgarian capital Sofia on March 23 and is looking to break the Guinness World Record of 18 year old Travis Ludlow.
