Duqm refinery project nears completion

Muscat: Despite the challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic, construction work at the Duqm refinery project is nearly complete.

Talal bin Hamed Al-Oufi, CEO of OQ Group, confirmed that the work on the Duqm Refinery project is progressing at a good pace, despite the great challenges the project faced as a result of the pandemic.

He pointed out to Oman News Agency that the average completion of the construction works of the refinery project has currently reached about 90 per cent, and that its trial operation is expected to be held in the first quarter of 2023.
